Dreadnaught Boys And Girls Split with Pioneer

Dexter Track & Field played host to neighboring Ann Arbor Pioneer high school at Al Ritt on Tuesday. Again cold temperatures might have kept some performances down, but not the Dreads competitive spirit. The boys won by a score of 71-66, and the girls team came up short by a margin of 86-51.
Top performers on the boys side started with Mitchell Ward taking 3rd in the 100m at 11.78, and 2nd in the 200m with a time of 24.28. Connor Kril finished 3rd at 24.37. The 400m saw Liam Smith winning with 56.58, and Jason Biggs 3rd at 58.30. Nick Reiser also took 3rd place in the 800m running a 2:08.85 time.
Caleb Snyder placed in both the 3200m, going 3rd with his time of 10:36.45, and 2nd in the 1600m with 4:32.73. Coen Hill was right behind in 3rd with a time of 4:33.87.

Dexter swept the 110m High Hurdles with Adler Mesko (20.07), Oliver Barth (20.84), and Owen Sorter (21.38) going 1-2-3. Sorter also placed 3rd in the 300m Hurdles with his time of 53.02.
Dexter swept 4 different field event competitions. The trio of Dexter throwers Robert Karageorge (43’ 2.5”), Cameron Clark (43’ 1.5”), and Colin McIntyre (40’ 7.5”) swept the Shot Put, and then followed that up with the same order with another sweep in the Boys Discus with Karageorge (127’ 2”), Clark (108’ 7”) and McIntyre (103’ 6”). In the High Jump, Kyle Gerharter won at 5’ 8”, Gavin Heichel 2nd at 5’ 6”, and Amarkus Royce 3rd at 5’ 6”. Not to be out done, the Boys Pole Vault placed Anthony Delarca-Hernandes 1st at 11’ 6”, followed by Alex Trisdale at 10’ 0”, and Charles Baker in 3rd at 8’ 6”. The Dreads picked up a 2nd and 3rd place in the Long Jump with Collin Roller, and Pearson Taylor going 16’ 6.25”, and 15’ 11.5” respectively.
Continuing with the Girls field events, the Lady Dreads swept the Discus with Kera Root winning with a toss of 94’ 1”, Alice Trinkle 2nd at 69’ 10”, and Emily Weiszhaar 3rd with 68’ 2”. Root and Weiszhaar also went 1-3 in the Shot Put with throws of 29’ 11.5”, and 24’ 9” respectively. Girls Pole Vault also was a 1-2-3 finish for the Dreads. Raiden Kipfmiller was 1st at 11’ 6”, Debbie McCoy 2nd at 10’ 6” and Lana Riley 3rd at 8’ 0”. Ainsley Davis had the farthest Long Jump of the day, winning with a leap of 13’ 9.5”, and teammate Larkin Pham took 3r at 13” 3.75”. Davis also placed in the High Jump, going 4’ 10” to take 3rd.
Kipfmiller continued out on the track, as the winner of the girls 200m dash with a time of 28.02 and Maddy Church 3rd at 29.29. Dexter had a 1-2 finish in the 400m with Amelia Cribbins 1st at 1:05.63, and Claire Gibson 2nd at 1:06.77. Annabel O’Haver won the 3200m at 12:15.81, and Lillian Mitchell was 3rd in the 1600m with her time of 5:32.14.
