The Dexter Track & Field Team traveled down to Temperance on Monday to compete in a double dual competition with Temperance Bedford, and Ann Arbor Pioneer. Both the boys and girls squads bested Bedford, they each came up short against Ann Arbor Pioneer.
On the Boys side, Keaton Murphy-Walstad placed 3rd in the 100m, with a time of
11.92 and won the Long Jump at 20’4”. In the 4oom, Alex Hoffman placed 2nd at 53.83, Caleb Snyder was 3rd in the 3200 with a time of 10:20.94, and Brandon Anderson was 3rd in the open 800m with 2:01.85.
Anderson was also a member of 2 relay teams that placed. The 4x400 was 2nd. (Anderson, Alex Hoffman, Julian Linebaugh, and Owen Ackerman) at 3:40.49, and the 4x800 was 2nd as well (Ackerman, Anderson, Sam Gibson, and Snyder) at 8:52.20. The 4x200 won (Owen Waters, Alex Hoffman, Elijah Smith, Noah Boyce) with a finish of 1:39.08.
Field evens saw Ryan Kerr tied for 1st in the High Jump at 5’8”, Keaton Murphy-Walstad winning the Long Jump at 20’4”, and a sweep in the Pole Vault with Clark Sheldon winning at 13’6”, Benjamin Sackman 2nd at 13’0”, and Kaden Korck 3rd at 13”0” as well.
In the sprints for the Girls, Chloe Burns took 2nd in the 200m with 27.63, and Lillian Mitchell was 3rd in the 400m with 1:05.00. The 3200 saw Annabel O’Haver take 2nd with a time of 12:13.35
3 relays placed with the 4x2oo in 2nd (Mikala Sposito, Debbie McCoy, Raiden Kipfmiller, Chloe Burns) at 1:50.41, and the 4x400m taking second as well with a time of 4:25.00 (Addison Bruckman, Chloe Burns, Lillian Mitchell, Maddie Rokke-Smith). The 4x800 was 2nd (Mitchell, O’Haver, Bruckman, and Rokke-Smith) at 10:23.01.
Rounding out the field events, in the Shot Put Lily Burns was 2nd at 31’0”, and Lily Trinkle was 3rd in the Discus with 85’1”. Dexter placed 2 in the High Jump, with Simone Kasischke winning at 4’8” and teammate Tia Schultz taking second also at 4’8”. Finally in the Pole Vault Raiden kipfmiller won with a vault of 10’6”, and Debbie McCoy was 3rd at 9’0”.
The Dreadnaughts resume action this Saturday, traveling to Allen Park to compete in the Allen Park CoEd Relays.
